The Neighborhood Walk

Here is an idea that will help you get some exercise while creating a close bond with your neighbors. It will take minimal effort to get your nightly neighborhood walk underway. All you need to do is create a simple flyer and disperse it to your neighbors with a time your walk will begin. Considering you will be walking through your neighborhood you will have people join in as you pass their house. This unique idea will help you make new friends and create a strong community connection.

Breaking Down the Barrier

We go about each day surrounded by people we never engage. These are the people we ignore at coffee shops or pass on the streets. These people could be potential friends or business clients. By not acknowledging strangers you begin to develop an unapproachable barrier. This barrier is not only noticed by strangers, but it will also noticed by friends and coworkers. The more unapproachable you become the less enjoyable your life will be, but don't worry it's never too late to change. There is an easy way to break free from your unapproachable barrier and that is simply by acknowledging strangers with eye contact, a genuine smile, and a friendly hello.

Pitching In

How many times have you walked past a piece of trash without picking it up? Imagine how much cleaner the world would be if everyone in the world made it a goal to pick up at least one piece of trash per day. When others see you pitching in to improve the world they will be motivated to follow your lead. Soon everybody will be cleaning up the world one piece of trash at a time. When you do things you assume other people do, you will begin developing an anti-procrastinating mindset that will enable you to live a more fulfilling life.

Compliments Are Better In Three

Your goal for today is to compliment at least three different people. Try to compliment these three lucky individuals on something unique that they don’t hear every day. If someone has great eyes they probably get this compliment daily, so you need to actively think about your compliment and make it special. The more energy you put into your compliment the better response, and bigger smile, you will get in return.
